Jennifer Hughes-Beshore has been a professional
union stage actor for more than twenty-five years. She studies privately with renowned voice and vocal pedagogy instructor Dr. Bruce Kolb, and implements his teaching techniques in her studio. Jennifer is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Jennifer's stage work includes Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours and Regional Theatres throughout America. TV, Film and extensive solo concert experience adds to her well-rounded resume.
Jennifer holds a Master's of Theatre Arts from Regent University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami.
For the last 10 years, Jennifer created and taught after-school drama programs for children in the tri-state area. Most recently, her after-school drama program benefitted the Steelton-Highspire Elementary School, in conjunction with
HCPAC and a grant from the Salvation Army. Jennifer volunteered as head drama teacher and coordinated weekly lessons for over 70 inner-city children. Jennifer truly believes theatre can positively impact our youth and everyone deserves the opportunity to learn the art of acting and receive a theatre education, regardless of socio-economic circumstances.
Jennifer's students range in age and ability. The studio is a freeing, joyful place where students feel compelled to let down their inhibitions and sing!
My studio is a place of acceptance and encouragement and is open to all performance levels. My teaching technique stems from a strong emphasis on the emotional connection to the lyrics and meaning behind the song. I encourage my students to reach for their dreams and guide them to be the best artistic version of themselves. My joy comes when my students succeed in their endeavors and find success in their art.
I currently have students studying voice, acting, or musical theatre at NYU Tisch, Lebanon Valley College, Gettysburg College, Penn State, Catholic University, and Kutztown University.
